ECE Alumni Impact Award

Each year, ECE will recognize one alumnus with the ECE Alumni Impact Award. This award, established in 2017, is the highest recognition granted by ECE to its alumni. The ECE Alumni Impact Award recognizes alumni who have made a significant and lasting impact in any or all of the following areas: technology, education, industry, government, society. Awardees are often regarded as visionaries within their field.

ECE Alumni Merit Award

Each year, ECE will recognize one alumnus with the ECE Alumni Merit Award. Presented during Homecoming weekend each year, this award recognizes alumni who have garnered significant success in either academic, governmental, and/or industrial positions. Awardees are regarded as leaders in their respective fields.

ECE Alumni Rising Star Award

This award, established in 2016, recognizes younger ECE alums who have achieved early success within their careers in academia, government, industry, or private organizations. Awardees must be seen as an “engineer to watch” within the greater science and engineering community, and been nominated up to the age of 35.

ECE Willie Hobbs Moore Alumni Lectureship

This honor, established in 2017, recognizes ECE alumni from traditionally underrepresented groups in Electrical and Computer Engineering who are leaders in their field and serve as role models for the ECE community through their leadership, impact on society, service to the community, or other contributions.

The Alumni Medal

Presented to one alumnus/a who has shown extraordinary achievement in their field and brought distinction to the College of Engineering. It is the highest accolade awarded by the Michigan Engineering Alumni Board.

Presented to one alumnus/a who has generously volunteered service to further College projects and activities.

The Outstanding Recent Alumni Award

Recognizing the meritorious contributions by an alum in the early stages of his/her career. Recipients have either graduated from the College of Engineering within the last ten years or are no more than 35 years old. Recipients are selected based on their demonstrated leadership skills, professional contribution and service to the community or the College of Engineering.
